Predator Group
Scaling Global Growth through Automated ERP Integration and Shopify Plus

Philippe Singer

VICE PRESIDENT B2C DIVISION, PREDATOR GROUP

"We had a complex eCommerce migration project, and the Symmetry team has demonstrated expertise, creativity, and ultimately delivered on the agreed scope. We highly recommend their services."

Objective
Scaling and Unifying international e-commerce storefronts and ERP operations

Predator Group is a leader in the international billiards industry. They looked to the Symmetry team to work alongside them as true partners to migrate their international e-commerce storefront from Magento to Shopify Plus. The migration included the deployment of dedicated US and International sites, each with multi-brand experiences, seamlessly integrated with their NetSuite ERP via Celigo to handle complex product data, bundle integrations and high-volume inventory in one place feeding to both store instances.

Impacts
15,000+ Customers Migrated
12+ Apps Installed
99.9% Site Uptime
Transformation
Bespoke product customization and a unified multi-brand experience
A centerpiece of the new Shopify experience is a highly customized cue configurator, allowing users to dynamically bundle and price individual pool cue components like butts and shafts, with tip and weight customizations in a single streamlined interface. The project also introduced a unified multi-brand landing experience for both Predator and Poison Cues, a system for displaying retired products for collectors, and automated, customizable maximum quantity rules to mitigate a previously high rate of fraud and freight-forwarding cancellations. Rounding out their tech stack is Judge.me for reviews, BON Rewards for the VIP loyalty program, Lockpro for VIP only pre-sales, Pre-Order Globo for Back in stock notifications and Zendesk for customer support.

Challenges
Platform Instability

The most immediate driver for the migration is that their current Magento site is unstable, suffering from slow load times and frequent 404 errors.

Lack of Purchase Controls

Their current system cannot enforce critical business logic, such as "max quantity of 1 per customer", or setting up certain conditions at checkout to prevent bot-led bulk buying.

Fragmented Global Operations and Data Silos

As the brand rapidly expands and acquires new subsidiaries (like Poison Cues), their backend data is heavily fragmented. An ideal solution is to allow shared carts and centralized management.

Results
Unified Brand Architecture under a Single Admin Moving away from fragmented silos, the new Shopify Plus environment consolidates Predator Group and Poison Cues into a single administrative interface, as well as easy access and maintenance to for their International storefront.
Automated Global Logistics and "Matrix" Data Sync The "biggest" technical improvement is the replacement of manual data entry with a robust NetSuite and Celigo integration. The system will now automatically route orders to the correct global warehouse based on inventory and location.
Custom-built Pool Cues Configurator Customers can navigate through an interface to select their cue butt and then customize it with specific shafts, wraps, and tips. The configurator uses "intelligent item mapping" to ensure only compatible options are displayed.
